Welcome to the Well Tested quickstart guide. This guide will help you get started with Well Tested, an enterprise application for the rapid engineering evaluation of gas and oil pressure time series data.

Prerequisites

  • A valid email address
  • Basic understanding of well testing procedures
  • Test data in CSV format (optional)

Follow the steps below to get started with Well Tested and begin evaluating your well test data quickly and efficiently.

Creating an Account

  1. Visit the Well Tested application
  2. Click on "Sign Up" in the top right corner
  3. Enter your email address and create a password
  4. Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox
  5. Complete your profile information

Setting Up a Workspace

A workspace is where you and your team will collaborate on well testing projects.

Creating a New Workspace

  1. After logging in, click on "Create Workspace" from the dashboard
  2. Enter a name for your workspace (typically your company or team name)
  3. Invite team members by entering their email addresses
  4. Set permissions for team members (Admin, Engineer, Viewer)
  5. Click "Create" to finalize your workspace

Joining an Existing Workspace

  1. If you've been invited to join a workspace, you'll receive an email invitation
  2. Click the link in the email to accept the invitation
  3. If you already have an account, you'll be added to the workspace automatically
  4. If you don't have an account, you'll be prompted to create one first

Creating Your First Job

Jobs are the fundamental unit of work on the platform.

  1. From your workspace dashboard, click "New Job"
  2. Fill in the required information:
    • Job name
    • Well identifier
    • Test type
    • Equipment details
    • Test parameters
  3. Click "Create Job" to proceed

Uploading and Analyzing Test Data

  1. Navigate to your newly created job
  2. Click on "Upload Data" in the job dashboard
  3. You can either:
    • Drag and drop your CSV file
    • Click to browse and select your file
    • Manually enter data using the provided template
  4. Once uploaded, click "Analyze Data" to begin the evaluation process
  5. The system will automatically process your data according to the specified parameters

Interpreting Results

  1. After analysis is complete, you'll be presented with a results dashboard
  2. Review the key metrics and visualizations:
    • Pressure vs. time graphs
    • Leak rate calculations
    • Pass/fail indicators based on your organization's policies
  3. Use the "Export" button to download a detailed report for your records
